The Red Lion at Whittlesford Bridge is perfect for your day of celebration. Civil ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and evening entertainment can all be accommodated in a choice of beautifully restored spaces.
Few venues can boast such a perfect backdrop for your photos as our picturesque 13th century Chapel. In contrast our smart glass-roofed Atrium and spacious Garden Room cater for up to 140, while our oak-beamed bar and private dining room offer a smaller, more intimate experience. For summer weddings the cottage-style garden, lawn and terrace are perfect for alfresco cocktails, while in the winter, you may prefer warming drinks by real log fires.
Our wedding breakfast menus showcase fresh and locally sourced British produce. We have an extensive wine-list and offer special ‘greeting’ drinks or punch-bowls tailored to your tastes.
Your wedding package could, in effect, ‘give you’ The Red Lion for your special day. This means all public spaces will be for your private use – including up to 18 individually designed bedrooms solely for your party, with a wonderfully luxurious Honeymoon Suite complete with super-king size bed, goose-down bedding and a huge in-room bathtub.
